Huge numbers of Whooper Swans spend the winter around Lough Swilly in Donegal, and each evening the arrive into Inch lake as the sunsets, the sky filled with their calls. In early February 2019, heavy snow across much of the county made for a dramatic landscape and I spent as much time as I could enjoying the rare winter scenes.

Original copy painted by hand, with watercolor technique on special paper for watercolor.
