An illustration for the European Breeding Bird Atlas. I was delighted to be asked to illustrate Sooty Tern for the project, it brought back great memories of visiting a small island off Cairns in Australia where I was surrounded by thousands of Sooty Terns.

Original copy painted by hand, with watercolor technique on special paper for watercolor.
