A scarce migrant most years, this was one of 4 birds on Tory Island during a recent Autumn. Although usually skulking in the long grass, after rain showers they would pose beautifully on the short grass football pitch as they attempted to dry off. Water colour on paper.

Original copy painted by hand, with watercolor technique on special paper for watercolor.
