Golden Eagles were reintroduced into Ireland as part of the millenium project and have faced many challenges. Lack of prey due to overgrazing is probably the biggest factor, but they can be seen regularly around Glenveagh National Park. Finding a good vantage point and patience are required to see them, but sometimes luck is important with some of my best encounters being while looking for other birds and animals.
