Throughout the winter and spring of 2020, I found Crossbills almost everywhere I went. Usually they were flying high over head, or feeding on the tops of pines. As spring wore on, they concentrated around a small roadside quarry at one site, regularly descending to drink. I was able to enjoy some wonderful views of the birds coming and going from this site.
